DIY Summer Bath Bombs


Bath Bombs are a hot commodity among bathers for its fizzy, effervescent qualities and therapeutic ingredients. Bath bombs are known for enhancing the benefits of bathing while adding a dose of relaxation, and we’re here for it. So just what can a bath bomb do for you?






At Botanical Delights, we make our DIY bath bombs with baking soda, which can assist a myriad of issues, from skin conditions to digestion and detoxing. We also add an emollient-rich carrier oil. In this case, Fractionated Coconut oil – known for its ability to soothe dryness and nourish cracked, damaged skin. Lastly, we take it to the next level by adding our favorite summertime essential oils: Geranium, Palmarosa and Lemon. A sophisticated blend of florals and citrus, this blend will inspire you to keep moving and grooving while satisfying your skincare needs.  


What You Need

1 cup Baking soda

½ cup Citric acid

40 ml Fractionated Coconut carrier oil

3 drops of Geranium Essential Oil

3 drops of Palmarosa Essential Oil

3 drops of Lemon Essential Oil

Flower petals such as Lavender and Rose (optional)

Silicone bath bomb mold


How To

Combine baking soda and citric acid. In a separate bowl, stir essential oils into Fractionated Coconut carrier oil. Then, combine dry and wet ingredients until the mixture is damp and holds together. Add flower petals to the bottom of your bath bomb mold. Pack the mixture into the bath bomb mold before allowing to dry and harden overnight. Transfer to an airtight container once hardened.


To use, pop your bath bomb in the tub and allow your stresses to fizzle out, just as the bath bomb does.
